List of problems on TWF

As we await the 7th Ed FAQ, and cos I had a bit too much time on my hands, I thought I'd put together a shortlist of the topics that have come up here on TWF since 7th Ed came along, along with links to the thread(s) in question where they were raised.

I was doing this for myself mainly so I can prepare to avoid at least a few D6 dice offs later in the game by agreeing what I could with my opponent beforehand, but I thought this might be useful for others, so I thought I'd post it.

Will be interesting to see if these all get covered in the forthcoming FAQ too.

Any significant ones I've missed you think?

(I realise a few of these are not strictly 7th ed issues, but they are all things at least someone hoped would've been answered in 7th Ed. I added one of my own pet peeves too).

Challenges across multi unit combat and moving challenged models.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=21589
Awaiting FAQ.

Clip n Slide.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=21538
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20171
Essentially: what is definiton of “align the battle line”.
Unofficial FAQ: There is no sliding in the rules, but its a matter for gentlemanly agreement between players who want to use it.

Multi-wound unit hit by Bolt Thrower.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=21085
Which takes precedence, wound pool rules or Bolt Throwers ‘must kill first model’ to penetrate rules.

Frenzied ‘parts of profile’ all get +1 A.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=19709
Unofficial FAQ = steeds etc do now get +1 A, but only parts of profile that can attack. (so Chariot body doesn’t get an attack! WS=0 anyway).

Declaring normal charges with frenzied units & order of movement for frenzied charges and charge responses.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20212
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20758
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20160

Multiple castings of same RIP spell on same model (spell stacking).
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20142

Declaring charges that will clearly fail? (eg. to force a flee response from fleeing units and Skaven weapons, or to get another unit out of charge path)
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20803
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20626
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20500
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20393
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20253
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20207

Tactical Wheel/pivot when charging? (ie: vs. skirmishers, or single model contacting a unit where they want to).
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20033
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=19731

Flee direction of skirmishers and subsequent charge corridor.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20177
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=19945
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=19737
Centre of skirmish unit not defined.

Does charge corridor ‘shift’ with each new EITW? EITW being a total mess generally.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20559
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20414
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=19972
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20108

‘Parade ground’ wheels – rather than movement tray swivels.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20641
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20942
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=19328
RAW unclear, but most assume you fly models about on movement trays in bizarre rectangle frisbee movement.

Are rank add/reduce manoeuvres subject to any total movement limitations?
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=21559

Models removed from combat initiative order (eg: new chargers, impact hits) causes some models to now be out of btb contact, which then cannot strike.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20474
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=21596
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=21460

Turning in combat 'Free Manoeuvre'
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=21535
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=19018
RAW: can never execute this manouevre.
Unofficial FAQ = can turn if you win combat and the turn does not reduce amount of models fighting.

Turning and the incomplete rank.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20663
Awaiting FAQ.

Can’t cascade with an overrun as it takes place at the end of entire combat phase, or is it just the same as a pursuit move.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=21371
Unofficial FAQ: Overrun is a special sort of pursuit and should be done when other pursuit moves are made (at the end of the combat, not the combat phase!).

Bigger character models in units and rank bonuses.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=21207

Scouts setup and LOS.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20048
Do it like 6th?

Moving through your own units.
There still doesn’t appear to be any rule to prevent this. In fact there is more precedent that you can do it now that fleeing units can do so regularly.

ORCS AND GOBLINS:

Night Goblin Fanatics (pg 25)

Do they march block the enemy?

Can they fail Terror/Panic/ other psychology checks? (what happens? Nothing?)

What counts as ‘terrain feature’ ie: fanatics on a hill or road = die?
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20672

Are they affected by Waargh spell?

Fanatics and the new building rules if NGobs are in the building?

What happens if enemy appear within 8” already?

Mounting Characters on a Chariot doesn’t take a special slot?
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?t=20987

Night Goblin Netters
If you hit a unit with multiple nets and they have the Str reduced to zero, are they wiped out?

EDIT: Added more.

To tyle.
